Stephanie & Jeremy :: {Something Blue}

As a florist, one of the best experiences is witnessing how the floral details transform a wedding into something personal and special. Typically I only get a glimpse of this transformation through brief occasions, like watching the bride’s expression change to excitement when I hand her the bridal bouquet. But, Stephanie and Jeremy’s wedding gave me the opportunity to enjoy this fabulous transformation from start to finish, because I was not only the florist for their special day, but also a guest and cousin.

It was so wonderful working with Steph and Jeremy; they were so gracious and energetic that it was simple to design floral accents that would suit their personalities and wedding wish-list beautifully. Their ceremony took place at the Central Gospel in St.Catharines, where the couple looked adoringly into each other’s eyes in front of family and close friends, and even though it was a super hot May day outside, their ceremony felt so serene as they stood lovingly in front of a vibrant blue backdrop. The couple’s choice of soft blush pinks, whites, and royal blue truly added the classic elegance they wanted. Steph and her bridesmaids carried beautiful bouquets that included soft blush pink and white roses and hydrangeas.

The elegant theme carried into the reception hall as the tables were adorned with tall tapered vases with mounding hydrangeas and pink accents resting on top. Their celebration took place at Queen’s Landing, a familiar wedding spot for the Fleurish team, where we typically just deliver, setup and head out; but, this time I was able to stay and enjoy the evening and all of its wonderful details (including the great food!) with family and friends.

It was so wonderful to be a part of Steph and Jeremy’s wedding day! And it was amazing to see every detail come together to truly make it a special day for the couple & hear all of their rave reviews about the florals throughout the day! Thanks so much for allowing us to share in your lovely day!
