Lindsay & Jon :: {Simply in Love}

It seems that more, and more, brides & grooms are deciding to have small, intimate weddings. For intimate weddings, every detail, big or small, is such an important part in creating the perfect ambiance for a couple’s wedding & this planning process is a true testament to a couples time and devotion to not only one another, but also their guests. The elegance and beauty of an intimate wedding is found in the simple, romantic & personal décor choices (So every decision counts…especially the flowers!) Many brides have a very specific vision for their wedding day, so when it comes to floral décor, I really love creating dynamic arrangements that compliment & enhance a couple’s theme (This is why I love “one-on-one” consultations!). Lindsay and Jon’s wedding is a great example of an intimate wedding filled with personalized touches in a cozy setting. This couple was soft spoken and very down to earth and they really wanted to share their love for one another with their closest family and friends in a comfortable & relaxed setting. Lindsay & Jon’s ceremony took place at the Pillar & Post in the old Library, a perfect spot to be surrounded by family and friends for such an intimate occasion. Their night continued at the Pillar & Post’s upstairs gallery, where their warm and inviting reception took place.

Lindsay was a bride who definitely had a particular vision. For their floral décor, the couple wanted a whimsical & charming elegance. I paired natural elements like birch and interesting foliage with whites and soft greens, and used a mix of dahlias, Queen Anne’s lace, veronica, ranunculus, fern, garden roses & stock to create organic arrangements, boutonnieres & bouquets that were trendy and simply elegant.

Look at this beautiful bridal bouquet with lace detail (I just love it!).

Congratulations Lindsay & Jon! Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day.
