Summertime is such a busy time of the year, especially when you’re in the wedding industry (and really I’m not complaining, I absolutely love every minute of it!) But it’s always nice when you get a bit of down time in the colder months to take a minute and look back at the beautiful weddings that happened months before and catch a glimpse at the magic that happened to create such a stunning day for a truly wonderful couple. Kristin & Simon are definitely one of those couples, two people who have been together since their university years and waited a long time to celebrate their “I Do’s” surrounded by friends & family, it was no surprise that their big day turned out incredible (even the weather cooperated which is always nice). At Fleurish, we are so blessed to work with so many different couples and it’s wonderful to see their personality shine through. For Kristin & Simon, their celebration was a reflection of their style which fit perfectly with the atmosphere at Inn on the Twenty, where their beautiful outdoor vineyard ceremony and classically beautiful reception took place, with rustic touches of course! From bouquets to centrepieces, and every creation in between, the couples florals were complimentary, the flowers shared the same variety of blooms (including some local specialities), but they were displayed in a variety of styles. Take a look at these gorgeous photographs from Nataschia Wielink and get inspired!
Kristin’s bouquet, as well as her bridesmaid bouquets, were filled to the brim with hydrangea, garden roses, sweet heart roses, dahlias and free flowing & foraged foliages in various greens. The brides bouquet was tied simply with twine and white fabric, and was completed with a special heart locket dear to the bride.
Kristin & Simon’s vineyard ceremony combined the natural beauty of the surrounding scenery with a natural inspired floral arch filled with an organic mix of blooms in soft tones of white & blush, with airy foliages. This spectacular piece hung suspended from birch poles that flanked the couple as they exchanged their vows.
Their reception continued on with the natural & rustic style that was created with the bouquets and ceremony florals. In the centre of each guest table, on top of elegant table linens from Gala Decor, sat birch chargers & finished with mounds of soft florals surrounded by floating candles and dainty tableware. Throughout the reception room, guests could find stylish touches that matched the couples theme like mixes of lanterns with loose bouquets in mason jars and near by candles.
Congratulations Kristin & Simon! So happy Fleurish could be a part of your special day!
