Dawn & Jackson {Young & In Love}

It’s a cold blustery day today, but don’t let that put a damper on dreaming of warm, sunny days, like this one, back in June! Take a look at this absolutely stunning bride! This was an extra special day for me, being able to design flowers for a dear friend. It has been an honour to have done all of the Elmer family weddings thus far and working alongside Dawn with all of the special fine details she had envisioned for her dream day was a treat. I got to know Dawn while being her youth leader at church & from seeing her running around the block regularly, as her family lives right around the corner from my studio! Dawn was very detail-oriented, so we met a few times to ensure everything came together perfectly!…Her family owns a local floral distributor, so I was able to go nuts with the flowers that we used, which was fabulous!

The natural, yet casual elegance of the flowers, really enhanced the overall vision for the day. From the stunning rustic grapevine arbour, adorned with full blooming roses, peonies and mixed foliages, which flanked the couple as they exchanged their “I Do’s,” to the gorgeous bouquets (can you count all those girls?!). Dawn is one blessed girl to have so many friends standing by her side.

I used a collection of ranunculus, mixed sized roses, including the ever popular ‘juliet’ garden roses & coral charm peonies, scabiosa pods and mixed foliages, to complete this rustic style. And don’t forget the lovely, full aisle runner of rose petals with an ombre touch! All of these fine details came together perfectly to really capture the look of the day!

The rustic, wooden boxes filled with lush blooms softened the tables and the overall space along with lanterns and votives.

May God bless you both richly as you share your journey here on this earth together. He has truly made you each for each other & it’s totally evident in the love you show each other.
