The days are getting shorter and the leaves are starting to blanket our neighborhoods; but, the transition into fall, and of course winter, doesn’t have to be a gloomy event. And here’s some Fleurish Design Studio inspiration for those brides considering or already planning a winter wedding! As a designer in the Niagara Region, it is so amazing to have such magical seasons to accompany the vivid wedding dreams of my clients; especially the winter months, where nature creates romantic touches like glistening snowy pathways and romantic starry nights. Where familiar places transform into extraordinary spaces.
My meeting with Aimee & Adam not only reminded me how much I love the cozy romantic feeling of winter weddings; but, also how love is found in so many different places and how blessed I am to meet with so many different couples and hear their stories. When Aimee & Adam met with me at the studio, it was such a special time as they shared their “how we met” story, Aimee with her British accent recalling their adventures together (it was so endearing!). Right then and there it was obvious that they were a perfect match- as you can see in the photographs taken by Stec Photography.
Aimee & Adam’s wedding took place at Inn on the Twenty, a wonderful location nestled in a quaint village surrounded by natural beauty (perfect for a winter wedding day!). They really wanted the flowers to reflect their intimate day shared with close family and friends.
Aimee’s bridal bouquet boasted a collection of soft, romantic winter inspired flowers. Her bouquet combined a mix of classical elegant blooms, including; garden roses, ranunculus, freesia, peonies, Queen Anne’s lace and delicate details such as a lace tie around the stems.
Their centerpieces dressed the reception room with a natural elegance, showcasing similar flowers as the bridal party’s bouquets. Soft pinks, crisp whites and wispy blossoms gathered on low mercury vases, reflecting the wintery brightness from outside.
Winter weddings are about working with the beautiful elements nature is providing; keeping your wedding florals soft & natural is a great way to keep your big day elegant & radiant (think “winter chic”!). Huge congratulations to Aimee & Adam – A big thanks for the winter wedding inspiration! and may God grant you much happiness together in your married life!
