Take a peak at Anneke & Isuru’s gorgeous wedding at Sunnybrook Estates in Toronto. This lovely couple was referred to me by a photographer friend of Fleurish Design Studio, Courtney from Precious Photography; who was also a wonderful bride that I had the pleasure of working with a year earlier. (It’s so rewarding to know that the designs I create & the care I put into bringing a bride’s floral dreams to life is being enjoyed among wedding professional, as well as past & future clients, and it is so flattering to have my name passed along!) And lucky for us, Precious Photography was capturing the fantastic details of Anneke & Isuru’s wedding! Anneke & Isuru braved a winter snow storm on the day that they came to meet with me to discuss there floral ideas(much like today! YUCK!), they were such a great couple. Isuru really wanted Anneke to have her dream wedding, and so, the flower choices were really left in her hands & much to my surprise she had lots of favourites & so together we came up with designs that really captured her vision of lavenders, peonies and pearl accents.
Anneke always dreamed about having a lush mix of flowers, including her favorite blooms of hydrangeas, and most importantly, peonies. The bride’s bouquet was an elegant arrangement of blue hydrangeas, touches of lavender roses, blush garden roses, white ranunculus, and of course show stopping pink peonies; and to complete the elegant design of her bouquet, we tied the stems with lace and finished the look off with thin strands of pearls. The bridesmaids wore light lavender dresses which we complimented with white hydrangea bouquets with hints of light purple and blush roses, and finished them off with the same lace & pearl detail. The eye catching florals didn’t stop at the bouquets, Anneke & Isuru’s ceremony and reception included the same romantic mix of blooms. The outdoor ceremony was adorned with blossoms hanging from shepard hooks, rose petals along the aisle, and two stunning arrangements flanking the couple as they exchanged their vows. The reception tables were decorated with vibrant centerpieces of blue hydrangea and pinks roses nestled in mercury glass pedestal table top vases, surrounded by flickering candle light.
It was so wonderful to work with Anneke & Isuru and their wedding day was so gorgeous! This couple truly embodied the meaning of love & devotion, and it was so great to help them make the day they said “I Do” so special.
And as you can see, there were just SO many fabulous pictures it was hard to choose which to include within this blog so there are alot!
Congratulations Anneke & Isuru on your new beginning together as husband & wife!
